Finding impressive web design in Daytona Beach is not an easy feat. There are very few local companies that can deliver you a killer responsive website you’d be proud of.

We’re local, located in Port Orange so we’re available to meet up anywhere in Central Florida. We have a team of slick web developers who can help deliver you an amazing website in Daytona Beach!

Choosing a Web Design Company in Daytona Beach

There are some concepts you need to understand before deciding on a web design company. For example:

  • Website Customizations
  • Domain Name
  • Webhosting
  • Maintenance

Let’s review each of these concepts.

Web Design Customizations

First, make sure your company can handle any website customizations you may have. A customization is a feature particular to your company or business. Customizations typically cost a little extra because they require custom programming, but you want to be sure your web design company can handle these when the time comes. It’s important to be very clear with your web design company about your intent to customize up front so you get an accurate quote.

Domain Name

Do you have a domain name for your company, for example, google.com or evergreentech.io? If not, will your web design company provide one for you, or can you port your own to their platform? You must own a domain name so your customers or clients can easily find you online by navigating to your web address.
We recommend two particular companies when searching for a domain name: Porkbun.com or Namecheap.com.

Website Hosting

You will need a place to store your website files and serve them to clients trying to access your website (by navigating to your domain in their browser). This is called “hosting” your website and is VERY important. If you’re interested you can review how web servers work in this guide. You will need to confirm whether or not your web design company in Daytona will also host your website. If not, you will need to find a host (such as EvergreenTech.io). If your company does offer hosting then you should ask the following questions:

  • What is the uptime of my server? This is a measurement of how often your website is accessible to visitors. Anything below 99% is no good. You need your website up 24/7.
  • Is it a shared server, VPS, or something else? We don’t recommend shared servers for use with business websites because as the name entails, you are sharing your resources with other clients which can result in degradation of services. Virtual private servers are what we use at EvergreenTech and offer the cost savings of shared servers but the dedicated resources of bare-metal servers.
  • Where are the servers located? You will want your servers to be located as close as possible to your clients. If your clients are on the east coast of the United States you won’t want to put your servers in a data center in California.
  • What resources will my server have? These resources are similar to laptops o desktops including processing power, memory/RAM, and disk space. Be sure they offer SSD disks.
  • What is my bandwidth limit? Server bandwidth is important because it determined how many clients you can serve your website content to. Ask your host what their overage rates are if you go over your bandwidth limit. Some hosting providers will shut your site down the minute you go over he limit and that’s not good!
  • Is my server able to scale? Be sure your hosting provider can scale with you as your business and website needs grow.

Maintenance

Who is going to keep your website secure and up-to-date? If you need another image added to a photo gallery, who is going to do that for you? If you’re too busy to take care of this or would rather have someone else do it, discuss an ongoing maintenance plan with your Daytona Beach web design company to make sure they can accommodate your requests in the future.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization is a large topic and can sometimes be bundled into the maintenance plan mentioned above. It’s not as easy as just paying to have a website designed and you’re done. How are people going to find your website online? This is where SEO comes in. SEO is the art of crafting articles and optimizing your website to be search engine friendly so your site will display higher in the search results when someone is looking for your product or services. This is not an easy task and professional SEO firms are paid very well for their knowledge and efforts. If you’re going to write your own articles or have someone in-house do it, be sure they learn a little about SEO and keyword research. It will help a ton in the long run.

Hopefully now you know what to look for when shopping for web design in Daytona Beach. Remember the questions mentioned above and always remember to shop local. Drop us a line if you have any questions or would like EvergreenTech to evaluate your website needs to see if we could help you out.
